A Gal Can Dream...

I was up late last night thinking about everything I want out of life. A loving marriage, a healthy and happy family and to never be a paycheck to paycheck kind of family. Check! Then, I started thinking of the material things I would LOVE to have out of life :)
My husband and I share the want for this dream! We would love to have an old farmhouse from the turn of the century! We want to remodel inside and out on our own.

Of course there isn't one certain style of kitchen I love more than the other. So, these are the kinds of kitchens I love and would take a piece of each to make all mine :)
How gorgeous are all of these kitchens?!

Of course, what is a kitchen without kitchen appliances or decor?!

Who wouldn't want all of those beautifully, amazing things in their kitchen?!

I would love to one day have all of these things! So gorgeous, so vintage!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and found excellent vintage goodies!
Happy Tuesday!

Hazel Atlas Wishlist ♥

I have always been a big fan of Hazel Atlas milk glass. However, I only own a couple of pieces.
This is my Hazel Atlas wish list :)

I would LOVE to get my hands on a set of these! Mainly because hubs and I call each other Mama Bear and Papa Bear. I know I know...puke! lol

Yes, please! :)

How beautiful is this spread? I love how they threw some Gooseberry Pyrex in the mix! So sweet!

Can't you picture you and your family sipping hot cocoa from these adorable mugs by a roaring fire?! Ahh, I can't wait for Christmas!

My Granny had the infamous Hazel Atlas punch bowl and cup set! Boy I wish I knew where these were!

I would LOVE a set of these...if they didn't cost the amount of my mortgage to purchase them! lol

I love red and I love Hazel Atlas...why do I not own these!?!?!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Hump Day! God Bless!

Vintage Yard Sale

Despite our pressing medical issues and with the help of my mother and father in law, we had a very successful yard/garage sale this past weekend. It was time to get rid of some of the overload in our home. I was not reluctant at all to get rid of any of the junk we were selling except....some of my Elvis collectibles. My husband more or less talked me into it...he was right, the memorabilia had been sitting in a closet for years, collecting dust. I will never fall out of love with the King, but I had fallen out of love with the items sitting in our junk room closet.

Luckily after a complete clean out of the junk room and garage, we had a lot of items to sell. We sat up Friday and Saturday morning. We stayed open until 6pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday. We did pretty well, we walked away with just over 700 bones! All of my Elvis items were sold within the first 2 hours we opened on Friday! They were bought by people who I know would cherish them!

Having the yard/garage sale was very beneficial financially and it was better than sitting around all weekend griping at each other about how much pain we were in! lol Although we did pay for all of the bending, stretching and squatting all weekend on Sunday. I learned that herniated disks are no joke and you should rest as much as possible! But hey, we had fun and made some extra $! My husband thoroughly enjoyed himself. He definitely has the gift of gab! ;) What a charmer!

I hope everyone had a terrific weekend and found some great goodies out and about!

A Long Road to Recovery

I'm so sorry that I have neglected my new blog and followers.
My family has had a very rough patch these last few weeks. We've had a hard hit as far as medical issues go. I ended up miscarrying 2 weeks ago. It's very sad, my husband and I were so excited to become parents. But we have to look at it as a blessing in disguise because I have recently found out I have a herniated disk in my back. To make matters worse, we found out my husband has to have surgery on his back again. It's been a rough May. We're hoping our prayers will lead to some good news in our typically- happy life, very soon!
Needless to say, I haven't had much time to thrift. Although I have heard of a few places that I haven't been to before that I will definitely visit once my health gets back to normal.
As for now, I will seldom be posting on this blog. I will definitely post updates letting y'all know how our poor backs are feeling (ha ha!) but I highly doubt I'll be out and about hitting up my local flea markets and thrift stores :(

Hope everyone is having a great week! God bless!
