Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a very simple day tomorrow! How many of us can say that?
I had planned to make a huge dinner, but it turns out some family members have other plans this year and my house wasn't required for the extra space.
Although I will miss them terribly, I am happy to skip the stress this year.
My only obligations...sweet potato casserole, blueberry delight and 3 - 2 liters! lol
How simple is that shopping list?!
The one HUGE drawback to not cooking this year - no left overs! :(

Ladies, make sure you use your Pyrex! :)
From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy your holiday! It will be nice to let someone else do the cooking in away.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Old Fashioned Gal! I love the pict you have posted here...I posted the same one at some point on my holiday blog. I love her shoes, apron and the (what looks to be like) old Le Cruset or Descoware pot on her stove...not to mention her family's excited smiles!

It sounds like you are having a nice layed back Thanksgiving this year. I am, too. My husband flew to spend Thanksgiving with his family on the first family holiday since his Father's death. I wanted him to be there with his brothers and sister. I am spending the day with my duaghter-in-law's family. And, yep...I only have to bring a green bean casserole and vanilla ice cream. Yippee Skippee...I think you and I skated this year.
smiles and Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.

Hello vintage girly! I am Jacqueline, and I am new to your blog. I traded in all my tin and tupperware years ago for Pyrex and use it everyday. I was born in 1959 in Vancouver B.C. but now I live in Washington.
I love retro, dolls and toys from my childhood. I grew up at Once Upon a Fairyland, a recreation area my dad built for children. I collect gnomes and elves, hobbits and anything magical. I'm on Pinterest too and blog at if you have time for a visit.
I will return!
