Thrifted Finds & A Winner

I did a little thrifting yesterday. I was surprised that the 3 places I visited didn't have their Christmas items out yet. (with the exception of a couple things I found) Isn't it an unwritten law that if you are a booth owner you put your Christmas items out right after Halloween? I don't know, maybe I jumped the gun a little.
Surely this weekend I'll see some!
I did find some good stuff though. (Very pic heavy)
Donald Duck and the Christmas Carol, 1960. I loved Duck Tales as a kid. So, anytime I see something with Donald Duck, I am automatically drawn to it.
Doesn't this make you smile?! :)
I am working on my vintage hankie collection so I can do something like this...
I love vintage buttons! I have so many that once belonged to my mother. Very rarely do I find them still on the original card.
Fuzzy Friends - Mother Goose, 1955. The animals are actually fuzzy! I can't wait to display this in the baby's nursery!
Claudia took very good care of her book! What a fun present to receive for Christmas.
I wish they would have made the little tabby cat fuzzy too!
This is for hubby. He likes to display vintage/antique items in the garage. The bar is still in the package. My super pregnant scent was not fond of the smell.
Vintage Poinsettia hankie. I am loving the Christmas hankie's I'm finding lately!
Tom and Jerry's Merry Christmas, 1955.
Jerry and Tuffy are too cute!
Not too often do I go thrifting and not pick up Pyrex! Can we say obsessed?
Snowflake divided dish, 7.50.
1972 Promotional Kim Chee Pyrex. Can I get a heck yeah for this find?!!
Too bad the lid and cradle was no where to be found.
It was marked 6.95, but all items in the store were 25% off. So, with tax I paid 5.25!

I want to thank everyone who entered my giveaway! The lucky gal to win the Fire King Jadeite, vintage hankie and vintage doggy figure is...
Congratulations Carol @ Old Glory Cottage!

I will be having another giveaway closer to Christmas, so make sure you come back to visit!
Happy Friday, Happy Thrifting!

Well, you are a lucky, lucky girl when it comes to thrifting. I collect Little Golden Books and have never found the Donald Duck Christmas book! Pyrex finds are fun too! Kim Chee is a Korean fermented cabbage dish, it's served at almost every meal. I thought you might like to know the definition!

Hey Tammy! Thank you, I sometimes feel kinda lucky...then I look at my blogging friends finds and get jealous! LOL
I am familiar with Kimchi. One of my best friends growing up was Korean. Her mother canned Kimchi for all of her father included. I never cared for it, or the smell. Not my thing.
When I found this piece I had no idea what it was! I had to google it in the thrift store haha. I found it super funny it was called Kim Chee. I just wish it had come with the darn lid and cradle!

You want to come thrifting in my area? Well I want to come thrifting in yours! What awesome finds. I especially love the Donald Duck book. I need to try and find one for Maddie. One of the boots at my favorite antique mall has literally hundreds of old Golden Books and I never have the patience to dig through them. Maybe now it's time.

The Kimchee was a great find at that price, even without the lid! The 043s are my current favorites. Well, besides the lasagna pans. I'm also loving the Tom and Jerry book. Too cute.

My mom loved Bon Ami products and washed her windows and mirror with it until she discovered Spic'n'Span.

I wish it was a law that booths had their Christmas stuff out right after Halloween! I'm surprised how long it takes the antique shops around here to get with it!
Wow, thanks for pulling my name out of that pretty Pyrex bowl! I'm always excited to add to my Fire King collection!
